The Pyxis Enterprise server from CareFusion provides hospitals and health systems a scalable, flexible foundation for managing Pyxis ES technologies on a single database. Connectivity between the Pyxis MedStation^® ES system and the Pharmacy Information System (PIS) allows pharmacies to manage just one formulary and cascade the data to the Pyxis Enterprise server. This permits the PIS to serve as the single source of formulary data, coupling centralized management with local flexibility to meet each hospital’s needs.
