At CareFusion, we are dedicated to making products that help improve the safety and cost of healthcare. At the same time, we’re committed to doing so in a way that has the least amount of impact to our environment.

We view environmental stewardship through many different lenses, including the health and safety of our employees, contractors and the community. We are an environmentally responsible company committed to environmentally sound practices in all areas of our business. It is our vision to have all employees working safely and in an environmentally responsible manner 100 percent of the time.

We manage our operations in a manner which minimizes waste, reduces environmental releases and is protective of the environment through the setting of objectives and targets and the use of an Environmental Management System.

ISO 14001
CareFusion has achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems certification for 18 of its locations worldwide. This Voluntary certification demonstrates company’s commitment to environmentally responsible business practices globally.

CareFusion Green “3R” Team
To enhance and sustain our environmental efforts, we actively seek the ideas of employees throughout the organization to save energy, reduce water use, generate less waste and increase recycling. To encourage participation among all employees, we launched the CareFusion Green “3R” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Team, an environmental awareness program to communicate our goals, share success stories company-wide, and promote individual action on everything from desk-side recycling to maximizing power-saving options on personal computers, reducing manufacturing and packaging waste.

CareFusion employees also expand our “green culture” into the communities where we work and live. Employees actively clean up and restore outdoor public areas during our annual Day of Caring. Volunteer activities include beach clean ups, restoration of wetland and lagoon areas and more.
